Laura and Kevin Channell have relayed the following statement regarding their new farming operation at Kissel Road and Hunt Club Road. The statement, in part, reads:

1. We have no plans for a restaurant.
2. We will have between 8-10 parking spaces, not 20.
3. Our single, small commercial septic is required by the state if we intend to sell to the public from our farmstand.
4. The entrance off Hunt Club Rd. is safer than the potential entries off Kissel.
5. The total square footage for our retail farmstand is going to be 400 sq. ft. The rest of our accessory building square footage will be used for farm handling, equipment storage and produce washing/packing and cold storage.
6. We fully intend to build our home here once plans are finalized.We are, in fact, requesting a second variance, but it is simply a variance to be officially considered a “farm”. By definition, a farm must be 20 acres and we only have 18 acres. This has implications on when we build our barn and farmstand in relation to when we build our home. In order for us to be ready for the season next year, we will need to build our barn and farmstand now and construct our home thereafter. That is the nature of our variance request.
